Jim Davidson
Country at heart, yet steeped in the traditions of his Southern & Folk-Rock heritage, Jim has crafted a full-bodied and unique sound all his own. His baritone vocals are out front and often intensely personal – yet his arrangements and delivery are surprisingly contemporary. His ability to re-trace the steps that led him “home to his musical roots” several years ago seem to have connected with a sizable audience as well ... both in, and outside of his coastal South Carolina Lowcountry home.

The Blue Dogs have continued to flourish into one of the most enduring touring acts of the last 15 years. Formed in the early part of the 90’s the band has garnered national recognition with their brand of Bluegrass-Country-Rock. This dedication and widespread appeal was well illustrated in an article from the Washington Post that notes The fundamental appeal of the Blue Dogs’ music resides in its rough-hewn simplicity and soulfulness, yet is reminiscent of Little Feat’s brew of country and funk.

Diversity sums up the Blue Dogs who have played in every brand of venue, from Texas Roadhouses and the Nextel Cup to the Presidential Inauguration event in 2005.  The Blue Dogs have traveled over 1 million miles and performed over 1000 shows throughout the United States.
